Know Your Rights Initiative is our program dedicated to educating community members about their legal and civil rights. Knowledge is power, and we want every Latino in our community to feel confident and safe when interacting with law enforcement, at work, at school, or anywhere else. Why It Matters
Many in our comunidad aren’t aware of the rights they have or fear speaking up. This lack of knowledge can lead to injustice or abuse. The Know Your Rights Initiative was created because everyone deserves to understand their basic rights and protections. When a family knows what to do if an official comes to their door, or a teen understands her rights at a protest, our community grows stronger and safer.
By replacing fear with facts, we help prevent exploitation and discrimination. We build confidence in our community members to stand up for themselves in a lawful, peaceful way. Knowledge truly can save lives and keep families together.

We Do.
Our Know Your Rights Initiative reaches the community through volunteer outreach and resource distribution. Everything is provided free of charge and in Spanish and English, so language is never a barrier. Our volunteers and partners ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.
